E-TEN, who historically hasn’t surprised us with a truly compelling device, has created a new brand within itself: glofiish. The first device from glofiish carries quite a claim – to be the “World’s thinnest Pocket PC Phone, GPS and WiFi all-in-one.” The E-TEN glofiish X500 is a quad-band GSM phone with EDGE, including a Samsung S3C2440 400MHz processor, 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM, a 2.8” QVGA touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi (both 802.11b and g), a 2MP camera with flash, integrated SiRFStar III GPS chipset, a microSD slot, and even an FM radio tuner! The manufacturer claims that talk time is around 7 hours, while standby time comes in at 200 hours.The front side is dominated by 2.8” touch-sensitive display with QVGA resolution (240×320 pixels) which can display up to 65k colors (16bit). The X500 now has real soft keys in the place of the shortcuts. The GPS and M-Desk shortcuts are now above the display, which in sum makes six keys on the front side. As a Pocket PC Phone running on Windows Mobile 5.0 the X500 is identical in software to previous Eten models – the M600(+) and the G500. It comes very close to desktop computer with a Windows XP and is suitable for people which use the computer more or less. More often than now, navigating through the menus and using the device is relatively quick and enjoyable thanks to the powerful processor (400MHz clock rate). The added software by “M-Desk” is quite useful. By default it is launched by the right shortcut key in the upper line. This software provides shortcuts to various menus of the phone, divided in four tabs. The phone features an integrated Wi-Fi 802.11g module for wireless Internet connection with connections speeds of up to 54 Mbps. You can easily connect to a home/office network, or any public place where “hotspot” service is supported. Wi-Fi transfer speeds are much higher than EDGE ones, and using it for Internet and streaming, as well as VoIP services such as Skype, is not a problem. Item has 2-megapixel unit located on the back of the device, featuring LED flash and a mirror for self-portrait shooting. X500 is equipped with the standard mobile version of Windows Media Player. It is a multimedia player for music and video files. MP3 format is supported, as well as WMA and WAV. The supported video formats are WMV and 3GP, they can be viewed in fullscreen and the picture quality is quite good and looks very nice on the three-inch display.

The glofiish M700 supports GSM, GPRS and high-speed EDGE for voice and data connectivity almost worldwide, while IEEE 802.11b/g support allows users to connect to public and private Wi-Fi networks when in range of suitable hotspots.

For travelers, the glofiish M700 also features GPS and TMC functions delivered via an embedded SiRF Star III chipset allowing the glofiish M700 to handle both daily business needs and weekend leisure.

Preloaded on the glofiish M700 are a number of E-TEN in-house developed value added software utilities including; M-Desk, an easy to use Program launcher, several phone and messaging tools, camera and image editing software, FM tuner, backup utility and more.

This pocket PC is equipped with 400 MHz processor, 128MB Flash ROM, 64MB SDRAM and Micro SD card slot that provides unlimited space.

It has Built-in 2.0 megapixels digital camera with 4x zoom, flash function and video recording. This pocket PC is also equipped with Bluetooth v2.0, speakerphone function, call Recognition function.

Phone has 2.8″, 240 x 320, 65,536 colors, TFT-LCD display and wide range of multimedia features: AMR,AWB,MIDI,MMF,RMI,AAC,3GP, AVI; 192 Polyphony (MIDI , WAV, MP3, WMA, AMR, AWB, MMF, RMI, AAC Ringtones).
