The Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging is the first Samsung 3G smartphone with high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA).

The handset is compact and slim which only measures 113 mm x 59 mm x 11.8 mm and the phone weighs 99 grams which is lightweight when considering all the built in technologies of the Samsung smartphone.

The i600 Ultra Messaging is the slimmest Samsung 3G smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard.

The handset has a large 2.3 Inch color screen which provides up to 65,000 colors on a TFT LCD screen. The full QWERTY keyboard and navigation wheel are situated below the large screen.

The i600 Ultra Messaging has been designed for the style conscious professional user with all the built in business functions and entertainment features which are desired by the professional user on the move. The phone comes with 64 Mbytes of RAM memory and 128 Mbytes of ROM memory plus the user can extend the phones memory capabilities by adding a MicroSD removable memory card. The full QWERTY keyboard and navigation wheel have been beautifully designed to make composing messages and emails easy of the user.

The i600 Ultra Messaging comes with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system which has a document viewer and image viewer function. The user can view documents in all popular file formats which include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and PDF files. The user can view images in either BMP, JPEG or GIF image format.

The phone comes with a built in music player which plays all popular music formats and the Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging provides high quality stereo sound.

The i600 Ultra Messaging is the first smartphone to support web applications such as pod casting and RSS feeds. The phone comes with Internet wireless broadband capabilities and the user can access the Internet browser from the main menu. The phone provides the user with a quality Internet experience on their mobile handset and the large screen makes viewing Internet sites a pleasure for the user.

The smartphone works on a Tri band network which covers GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 which will switch between bands automatically.

The user can connect their Samsung i600 to Bluetooth compatible devices and enjoy a wireless connection between devices. The built in 3G HSDPA provides fast speed data transfers and the user can enjoy seamless communications through high speed connectivity via WiFi and Bluetooth technology.
