I am giving this phone and other SONY ERICSSON MODELS a BIG ZERO STAR not because it has any functional flaw in terms of lost signals, voice quality, wifi features etc. Even the phone with latest and greatest of features won’t last for more than 6 months because of a very simple flaw in their design.
WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS YOU WONT BE ABLE TO CHARGE IT !! When you put the phone on a charger, the battery charges through a pin-point contact. (LOOK AT THEIR CHARGING INTERFACE CLOSELY AND YOU PROBABLY DON’T HAVE TO READ THE REST OF THE REVIEW). Its literally a pin-point contact. After a couple of months the contact becomes dysfunctional as you would expect from such a contact. Compare it to the charging connector you get on other phones.
Me and my wife bought two SONY phones which has the same interface and the contact broke in 6 months on one of the phones. Luckily both the phones were same so we managed to swap the battery each night before we got a new phone. There is no way out of this dead end except throwing that phone because the battery is perfect but you CANNOT CHARGE it !!…
Imagine someone gave you a Macbook Air with 2 spare batteries but you cannot charge the battery. I don’t know what the bozos at SONY were thinking when they designed this phone.
And if that is not enough, they have the same flaky interface for transferring data, or connecting their head phone.
If any sane person reads and understands this review he will NOT BUY SONY ERICCSSON phones which have this NOVEL and CRAPPY interface. I am a big fan of SONY and 90% of all electronic items in my house is SONY, but this is ridiculous. The problem is NOBODY will look at this flaw when buying a cell-phone because its so rare that you cannot charge your cell phone even though the battery is fine !!

I had been obsessing over this phone for months when finally it came time for my upgrade…errr uhm…actually i upgraded early. To make it short the phone is hott. The sound is ok…the screen is fine. If i wanted a big screen i would simply haul around a television. Or a laptop. ITS A PHONE PPL!!! LOL But yeah one reason i purchased this phone is becuz i was in need of a mp3 player upgrade as well as a cell phone upgrade. I am happy with the Mp3 player and the quality of the music especially given its a phone. The battery life im not too proud of course i prolly just got a phone with a bad battery. I was disapointed at this phones built in memory limitations. As far as built in memory it sux badly…but u can buy more memory for ur phone of course. I liked the camera quality not five stars but good. Sometimes u may slip on the buttons given they overlap but not if u watch what ur doing and the look of the buttons is certainly in my mind worth an occasional slip up this has only happened maybe twice and to be fair i wasnt exactly dead target with my aim. If u want a texting phone this is not it…its a bit awkward to figure out how to use the text on this phone.( for those who try to wing it without reading the manual) but hey I had it all figured out in two days given im technologically challenged thats not so bad. Another bad thing about this phone is the battery charger I just dont like the big flatness of it…its so long and i feel those little copper things on the end of the charger that insert into ur phone will break upon being removed there so thin and brittle looking. The charger part is way too big in my opinion though. but basically I love this phone im glad i chose this phone and it seems to be a very durable phone though i would not pay the 200 for it…just go to cellone and pay the 100 dollars with 50 dollar mail in rebate….I recommend this phone to those of you who like an mp3 player on ur phone and camera not recommending for texting….I have been told its hard to hear me when i talk on the speaker phone i am looking into this it was said that the phone picks up too much background noise….but i can hear others just fine all other features work great.
