Samsung SGH-D840
Samsung Phone

The Samsung Ultra Edition D840 offers the latest in multimedia technology that excels in design, simplicity, portability and performance with premium slide-up design for business professionals. It is positioned as an ultra slim slider (11.9mm of width), the thinnest slider ever designed. It seems to be the successor of the D820.
The phone operates in Tri-Band GSM networks (the FCC shows it 900/1800/1900).
The Samsung D840 mobile phone has a big enough 2.12 inches screen with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, ideal for watching videos or viewing the phone’s photo book. It comes with an expansion slot for microSD cards with 70 mb of shared internal memory.
The D840 is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera which can take photos at 1600 x 1200 pixels. Video capture opportunity implies videos at decent VGA resolutions and also has flash capabilities.
There is a support of GPRS and EDGE Class 10 high-speed data transfer standard at 236 kbps. There is also 236.8 kbps Bluetooth v2.0 interface (with the opportunity to communicate stereo sound) and USB port with mass storage mode for transferring data from phone to computer.
The WAP / xHTML browser is sufficient to use with the data connectivity options and you can send emails and browse the internet conveniently. The phone also comes with T9 Document viewer which supports various file formats like Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDFs.
Measuring 98?45?14 mm and weighting 99 grams, the only gripe that the D840 allows us to have is that it is quite challenging to talk, having the phone between your ear and shoulder; however it is perfect when it comes to all other aspects, as it easily slips into any pocket and keeps low profile after, so that its hard to tell that you have a mobile phone with you.
During an outgoing call you will not see assigned image for contact, but it will be displayed during any incoming call, taking up barely a 3/4 of the screen. Attractions also include the fact that should you fail to reach someone, the phone will call up the contacts name and scrollable list of assigned telephone numbers a really credible feature resembling that found on Sony Ericssons latest devices, but in its turn Samsung went even further and extended it beyond the phonebook, so that this function works when dialing a number from the list of recent calls.
Organizer TV output Voice memo Built-in handsfree is a great Great Gift! A marvel to look at and a pleasure to use, this Samsung mobile is in a class all by itself.
